Objects
Amanda’s object-based practice moves between jewellery, sculpture and material experiment — exploring line, structure, transformation and surface through wire, copper and found forms.
Working intuitively with woven wire, oxidation and reactive processes, the pieces evolve through layering, tension and unpredictability. Many works blur the boundaries between wearable object, artefact and sculptural form, reflecting an ongoing interest in material behaviour, erosion and transformation.
This collection celebrates the work that established the Wire Moon name. Each piece was individually constructed from fine wire, building flowing structures that explored light, movement and form.
Many of these works have now found permanent homes, but are include here as part of the story of Amanda’s practice. Occasionally, a small number of wirework pieces remain available.
Sculptural Wirework
These vessels and sculptural forms continue her exploration of line and structure away from the body. They occupy the space between sculpture and object, where drawing becomes three-dimensional and materials are allowed to define their own character.
As this body of work develops, new pieces will be added here.
Patina & Surface Works
Amanda’s current jewellery builds on many of the same ideas explored in her wirework, but through a different material language. Copper and brass are transformed using hand-developed patinas, engraving and traditional metalworking techniques, creating unique wearable pieces inspired by chemistry, landscape and time.
