Artwork
Amanda Burton’s artwork explores transformation, instability and material change through abstract painting and experimental surface processes.
Working intuitively across fluid media, layered pigments and oxidised materials, her practice embraces erosion, reaction and unpredictability as part of the creative process. Inspired by landscape, natural systems and ideas of visual alchemy, the work moves between atmosphere, texture and elemental form.
Rather than illustrating fixed subjects, these pieces emerge through process — built slowly through layering, disruption and discovery.
