The Alchemy series explores transformation through layered paint, mineral-like surfaces and chemical reactions within materials.

These works investigate the tension between control and surrender — allowing fluid media, oxidation and erosion to shape the final surface in unpredictable ways.

Inspired by ideas of alchemy as both physical and emotional transformation, the paintings become records of process, instability and change.
